Expect Significantly Increased Call Volume: Based on other data of citizen initiated calls for service for other psychiatric hospitals in the county we can expect a large volume of calls for this facility. Because this hospital will include not only adult populations but adolescent populations  (like New Alternative) the calls to this facility can be expected to be high.

With the current Police staff numbers it will increase call response time and police will not be set up to successfully respond to community needs in a timely matter. It will take away resources from the surrounding community. CVPD is already understaffed and response times are slow.
